I have managed to make some progress on HTTP proxy support. I can actually test it using HTTP + authentication proxy here at work. So once I am happy with the win32pad releases I am going to revive the development of win32get.
Please post replies with requests that I should look into for the next release of win32get.

Hi! Realy like your programs and I hope that I could come with a suggestion. I run win32get from a floppy and would like if the program did not placed the ini-file in the windows directory but instead in the same folder as the program. Thanks for some great programs!
Regards, henrik

Hi Gena01,
I use win32get very often for leeching files which are not intendet to be leeched like *.swf. It is a very nice and fast program and especially the low recource consumtion is great. :-)
There are only two little things which are missing. :-) Sometimes when I copy URLs from websites with Ctrl+c and paste into win32get I also have whitespace at the end or at the begining. This whitespace give an error. Would it be possible to remove them automatically like web browsers do?
To save time when downloading several files with win32get it would be great if double clicking on the tray icon would pop up a new download window.
Thanks,
Max

I stopped development of win32get at some point, because I was pretty happy with the set of features (I know there is a lot of room for improvement) and also because I haven't gotten much feedback (wasn't even sure if somebody is still using it). I am currently preparing win32whois release, but after I am done with it I will take a look at these issues and maybe release a small update that should address them.
